The refreshing waters of RIVERcamp!

INTRODUCTION

Every summer since 2002, the Metropolitan West Region of the Elim Pentecostal Church has organized the RIVERcamp festival. Sadly, 2015 will be no exception to this most lamentable annual testimony to Elim's appalling accord both with the Toronto Curse and the dire, rampant Dominionism of the New Apostolic Reformation. 

For 6 days, from 26th. to 31st. August, the Lenchwood Christian Centre near Evesham in Worcestershire will once more host this great Laodicean extravaganza, where the elite of Elim will again take huge pleasure in injecting yet more poison into the bloodstream of the Body here in the UK. (It is to be noted that although held under the auspices of Elim, it is not a denominational event, but open to absolutely anyone who is so misguided as to attend).

Back in May, the RIVERcamp team held a (Mis)Leadership Conference with the star player on the field being none other than Bill Johnson, one of the most dangerous deceivers on the face of the planet. From gold dust and glory clouds to the ghoulish necromancy of grave-sucking, his Bethel Church in Redding, California, is the very epitome of everything that is wrong in what passes itself off as being the Church today. I repeat below a particular paragraph from that article, as it is relevant to all RIVERcamp events and the spirit of deep deception that underlies them:

Its dramatic downward spiral can be traced back at least as far as the so-called Toronto Blessing of the 1990s, in reality one of the most grievous curses ever to have been inflicted on the Faith. Instead of denouncing it as a thoroughly Satanic deception, Elim leaders like Colin Dye and Wynne Lewis wholeheartedly embraced and endorsed its demonic drunkenness, and effectively partnered with this alien spirit emanating from the pit of Hell! And Elim, regrettably but undeniably, have been and continue to be complicit in fanning the flames of this "strange fire."

ELIM'S ELITE: A DESPERATE DEARTH OF DISCERNMENT

The leading lights of RIVERcamp are David Campbell and Kevin Peat, who significantly have both been members of Elim's National Leadership Team since before RIVERcamp was birthed, proving that the top brass of Elim have always been behind this festival right from its woeful inception. They have both been speakers at every RIVERcamp ever held. 

Messrs. Campbell and Peat wield great power and influence in the Elim movement; the former is Regional Leader of both the Metropolitan East and the Metropolitan West Regions with around 130 churches under his charge, while the latter is Regional Leader in Scotland, the North West of England and North Wales. BOTH OF THESE MEN, DESPITE BEING LONG-TERM LEADERS OF A PENTECOSTAL DENOMINATION, HAVE CONSISTENTLY DEMONSTRATED A SHOCKING LACK OF WISDOM AND DISCERNMENT!

Why do I declare this? It's because it is evidenced by the long and wretched roll-call of Toronto and New Apostolic Reformation deceivers that they have proudly paraded at RIVERcamp events right from the very beginning! They have faithfully followed in the footsteps not of the Lord, but of fellow Elim (mis)leaders devoid of discernment and due care - and attention to Scripture! - like Colin Dye and Wynne Lewis of Kensington Temple infamy. Such men as these are hirelings and not true shepherds, not only dismally failing to protect the flock but actually warmly welcoming the slavering wolves into the fold to freely maul the sheep and feed upon the lambs.

Carefully consider this piece of hyper-Charismatic RIVERcamp hype:

"During the celebrations in the Main Pavilion, we take time to express our love and worship to God and are honored to behold His expression of miracles, signs and wonders. Joining with Christians from different streams from around the UK and Europe, various leaders teach and minister during the meetings, helping us to cultivate and sustain an open heaven here on earth."

The concept of an "open heaven" comes straight from the shamanistic belief system of the aforementioned Bill Johnson, a man up to his mystical eyeballs in deep occultism masquerading as contemporary "Christianity!" Similarly, the enticing reference to "miracles, signs and wonders" trumpets the Toronto manifestations of an alien spirit, with total disregard for the stark words of Jesus that it is a wicked and adulterous generation which seeks a sign! (Matthew 16:4) 

What is actually being carefully cultivated and sustained by the "various leaders" at RIVERcamp is the demise of sound doctrine and righteous sobriety, and their relentless replacement with ear-tickling tripe and an experiential religiosity awash with drunken delusion!

The proof of this is easily found by examining a list of those men and women who have headlined at this event. It is a calamitous catalogue of front-line Toronto traffickers and New Apostolic Reformation, Latter Rain-dancing Dominionists!

Bethel Church in Redding, California, is an extraordinarily powerful, Signs and Wonders-fueled bulldozer. And "Apostle" Bill Johnson is its utterly reckless driver. Man and machine are at the very forefront of pushing forward the heavily contaminated soil of Restorationism and Dominionism, effectively covering up both sound doctrine and sanity in a supposed reclaiming of our "Christian" inheritance, and the building of Heaven on Earth... a "Heaven" which in reality has a far greater resemblance to Hell!

Bill Johnson's Bethel has either itself initiated, or otherwise embraced and promoted some of the most grievous errors and deceptions to be found in what passes for evangelical Christianity today, and it cannot be stressed enough that Senior Pastor Bill Johnson is one of the most dangerous End-Times deceivers around!

Yet in their infinite lack of wisdom, and having scattered any last remaining particles of discernment to the four winds, this is the man who Elim, as represented by their Metropolitan West Region, has seen fit to be the key player in their RIVERCAMP LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE 2015 on May 18th - 19th at Ealing Christian Centre.

Bill Johnson has sung the praises of - and flaunted his involvement with - the likes of the great "seed-faith" scam merchant Oral Roberts and Word of Faith colossus and convicted multi-million dollar church funds embezzler David Yonggi Cho, who he has called "amazing." He calls the likes of the appalling "New Mystic" John Crowder, and the fake healer and adulterer Todd Bentley of Lakeland infamy, his friends; in fact he was one of the men who saw fit to "restore" Bentley to ministry, so he could continue to massively inject his poison, particularly into the spiritual bloodstream of Africa. Consider this video quote of his buddy John Crowder, if you will, as he kneels at the grave of John Alexander Dowie, a most notorious forerunner of all that is false in the "Church" today:

"We've just come to the grave today to release to you an impartation of healing revival, of city-building restoration, city-taking anointing, master-building apostolic anointing, and so we just rip it right out of the ground, we just suck it right off his dead bones, in Jesus' name, and loose it to you, a healing, revival glory, master-building, apostolic anointing glory!"

This is the sick practice known as grave-sucking, very popular with students of the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry, such as those here seen on a mission trip to Loughor in South Wales, engaged in sucking up Evan Roberts' anointing from his grave! If this picture doesn't absolutely horrify you...

The Gospel is Good News. Johnson's Bethel is exceedingly bad news! Fire tunnels, wind gusts, gold fillings and gold dust, glory clouds and angel feathers, "inner healing" and grave-sucking, waking up sleeping angels and using tuning forks for prophetic purposes (no, I don't know how either!) are just some of the ingredients bubbling away in Bethel's big cauldron of counterfeit Christianity.

Let's say it as it is. The type of practice and experiential religiosity of Johnson's Bethel Church in Redding, is indistinguishable from that of the NEW AGE movement.  Which is, quite simply WITCHCRAFT, just re-branded and re-marketed with a more palatable identity. This is as serious as it gets, my friends. 

Moreover, Bill Johnson teaches that Jesus did not become Christ until his baptism, having laid His divinity aside. In other words, when He was born of Mary He was not Jesus Christ come in the flesh, just Jesus of Nazareth. Concerning such a denial, 1 John 4:1-3 affirms that this is the spirit of antichrist! Furthermore, Johnson claims that Jesus Himself had to be born again! (Which means that our Saviour Himself had to be saved, or otherwise be condemned to Hell!) Please read and heed this direct warning from the Word of God concerning such renegades as Bill Johnson:

"Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; 

AND AVOID THEM."

(Romans 16:17) 

P.S. Cost of this 2-day event? Sixty quid no less! Sixty shiny, silver pound coins. That's thirty pieces of silver a day... Now, where have I come across that before...?
