'THE BLESSING' SONG, BORN IN THE WORD OF FAITH AND RAISED IN ECUMENISM - ADORED ANTHEM OF APOSTASY!

THE UK TODAY

The UK today. A nation so far removed from the fear of God and the upholding of His ways that it kills its unborn children en masse, delights in uniting homosexuals in a mockery of God-ordained marriage and regards perversion as progress. A nation so determinedly self-drenched in sin as to make depravity a cherished right and ideal, that perhaps even Sodom would have shuddered and Gomorrah groaned to gaze upon it. A nation akin to Jerusalem in Jeremiah's day, when through His faithful prophet the Lord God declared: "As a fountain casteth out her waters, so she casteth out her wickedness: violence and spoil is heard in her; before me continually is grief and wounds." (Jer. 6:7). Friends, look around with unblinkered eyes and, if there's but half an ounce of honesty within you, you'd have to agree that this is a nation that surely only Satan and his hench-demons could smile upon with happy satisfaction at its shockingly degenerate state.

Yes, the UK today. A nation where the Church has been Hell-bent - and I use the term advisedly - on NOT being salt and light to it. When all is said and done, how can she be, when the salt has everywhere lost its savour, and the "light" that is supposedly in her is on all fronts actually darkness? "Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness!" warns Luke 11:35, but this urgent plea that echoes down the ages has fallen on deliberately deaf ears. God has been so, so patient, but that patience is fast evaporating like morning mist, and on the heels of unrepentant iniquity and wilful unfaithfulness comes His inevitable righteous judgment.

Once, the banners uncompromisingly proclaimed, 'The wages of sin is death!' / 'After death the judgment!' / 'Prepare to meet thy God!' - but no more. The Church is not interested in preaching pure doctrine and preparing people for what is to come, only in partying in the here and now. She has been laughing, as Toronto demonically taught her to, when she should have been weeping with breast-beating sorrow. In her headlong departure from Truth and her dereliction of duty, the Church cannot stand apart from the world to witness against it and to warn it, because she has become an integral part of it. Have no doubt my friends that she will face the dire consequences of her brazen betrayal of the Bridegroom! Judgment begins at the house of God...

"How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously,

Is not the serpent the subtlest of all beasts? Has he not cunningly deceived from the beginning, this silver-tongued salesman of spiritual strychnine who is the father of falsehood? How have we so forgotten this? We sow the wind of such forgetfulness, and we much reap the whirlwind of mindlessness, ending up blessing that which cannot be blessed.

Which brings me to 'The Blessing,' a song that has gone viral on the internet with many millions of views, and "likes" and glowing comments by the thousand, serving only to show how so, so many want only to have their itching ears satisfyingly tickled by what they WANT to hear, not painfully pinched by what they NEED to hear. It's such a heartbreaking case of "Tell us lies, pretty lies, and we'll jump for joy; tell us the Truth, tell us like it really is, and we'll put our hands very firmly over our ears!" 

THE SONG IS ALL ABOUT PRONOUNCING GOD'S BLESSING UPON A NATION THAT HAS REMOVED ITSELF FAR FROM IT, FROM THE AVOWED ATHEISTS TO THE TRUTH-TRAMPLING PEW-POLISHERS, WITH EVERY SHADE OF GOD-REJECTING REBELLION IN BETWEEN. BLESSING IS CONDITIONAL UPON BEING IN A RIGHT PLACE WITH THE CREATOR, WHICH ASSUREDLY NEITHER SOCIETY AT LARGE NOR THE PROFESSING CHURCH IS IN!

This sadly speaks volumes for the extent of the Falling Away here in the UK, that such a plethora of professing believers are totally unable to see the wood for the multitude of trees. They take delight in their abject denial of raw reality rather than admit to it, soberly stand on the Word of God and tell the people in no uncertain terms that they are not blessed but hopelessly lost, and things are not going to get better in any real, lasting sense, but only get progressively worse and worse as the end of the age bears down upon us like a runaway train.

The song has been eagerly imported into Britain from the USA, as of course have so many things which have spelt such bad news for the upholding of unadulterated Truth in these Islands. The original video recording, live from Elevation Ballantyne can be found at https://youtu.be/Zp6aygmvzM4 (over twelve and a half million views and still counting), and confirms that the song was written by Steven Furtick, Chris Brown, Kari Jobe and her husband Cody Carnes, and includes the Elevation Worship band in the credits. The significance of this information cannot be understated. Elevation Worship is the musical face of Furtick's Elevation Church, which very much echoes the Bethel Church/Bethel Music/Jesus Culture setup of one of the foremost heretics in the world today, Bill Johnson, and also that of Brian Houston's Australia-based Hillsong church-and-music "prosperity gospel" empire.

Let's look a little at said Steven Furtick, the founder and pastor of the Elevation megachurch in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a man who not only considers Joel Osteen to be a great man of God, but hails T.D. Jakes as being the greatest preacher of our time, and names him his own favourite preacher in the world. Are you starting to get the picture here? No? Well, how about his buddying up to that other great Word of Faith, fleece-wearing wolf Rod Parsley, speaking at his Dominion Camp in both 2017 and 2018? Or perhaps his very close link to Hillsong, repeatedly guesting at their conferences worldwide? Or maybe his partnering with the Bethel circus's ringmasters Bill Johnson and Kris Vallotton for their 'Heaven Come' conferences in L.A in 2018 and 2019? If that doesn't clinch it, nothing will! Friends, I'm going to say it as it is: Steven Furtick is about as sound as a plastic pound.

What about the other co-writers of this song? Well, Furtick's long-time musical collaborator Chris Brown is lead songwriter for Elevation Worship; the band tours with the likes of Bethel Music and Hillsong Music, which speaks - or more accurately shouts - of its very comfortable correlation with the apostate Johnson and Houston camps. OK, what about Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes? Well, they are husband-and-wife worship leaders currently based at The Belonging Co, a church in Nashville which they migrated to after first rising to prominence at Robert Morris's Gateway Church in Dallas. Morris is another of those "Tithe, tithe, tithe and more besides," dollar-signs-in-the-eyes millionaire preachers, and unsurprisingly a darling of one of the prosperity gospel's main TV mouthpieces, Daystar. In 2018, online magazine 'The Christian Beat' asked Jobe to name some of her biggest musical influences; of her top three, two were Bethel Music (with whom she has recorded) and Hillsong. COVID-19 permitting, of course, Jobe and Carnes are scheduled to tour this summer with, surprise, surprise, Hillsong Worship. Kari Jobe is also shown to be on the same page as Bethel by her support of last December's (abortive, need I say!) days-long attempt by this sham "church" (and the specially flown in she-wolf Heidi Baker) to raise a little girl from the dead. 'Nuff said?

BETHEL, HILLSONG AND ELEVATION ARE, TO USE AN APPROPRIATELY MUSICAL ANALOGY, THREE COMPLEMENTARY NOTES THAT COMBINE TO FORM A MOST POWERFUL CHORD. WE WOULD DO WELL TO RECALL THAT THE ENEMY OF OUR SOULS WAS CREATED AS A MUSICAL BEING (see Ezek. 28:13), AND KNOWS EXACTLY HOW TO USE MUSIC TO VERY GREAT EFFECT TO STEER US OFF THE NARROW WAY AND ONTO THE BROAD.

NOTE, AND NOTE WELL, 'THE BLESSING' WAS AS SURELY BORN IN THE DOCTRINE-DEBASING, DOLLAR-CHASING WORD OF FAITH CAMP AS IT IS NOW BEING RAISED - AS THE UK VIDEO VERSION SO CLEARLY SHOWS - IN THE ANTICHRIST HOUSEHOLD OF ECUMENISM. Throughout this hopelessly misguided song, which countless people are wildly applauding, we hear the mantra, 'He is FOR you, He is FOR you, He is FOR you...' Really? He is FOR a nation as evil as this? He is FOR a Church gone so astray as to call the actual occultism it practices the work of the Holy Spirit, and where fear of the One they call Lord is so conspicuous by its very absence? What does His Word say about those who steadfastly depart from His ways in their unholy fearlessness and unfaithfulness, but the exact opposite? He is not FOR them, but AGAINST them:

"And I will come near to you to JUDGMENT; 

and I will be a swift witness AGAINST the sorcerers, 

and AGAINST the adulterers, and AGAINST false swearers, 

and AGAINST those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, 

and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right,

RODNEY HOWARD-BROWNE, THE HOLY GHOST BARTENDER, AT THE WAREHOUSE CHURCH IN NEWPORT ON 13 FEBRUARY 2019.

"Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord." These words resonate deep in my spirit as I consider the darkness masquerading as light that is about to descend on Newport, South Wales, courtesy of Robbie and Donna Howells, the 'Word of Faith' MISleaders of The Warehouse Church (this being the recent re-branding of Newport City Church).

We who walk as children of light have a duty to declare and show what is acceptable to God, and by the same token also to declare and show what is UNacceptable to Him. And what is most definitely UNacceptable to Him is "strange fire!" Few in the contemporary Church have been as prominent in the igniting and fanning the flames of such "strange fire" as Rodney Howard-Browne, the self-proclaimed "Holy Ghost  Bartender." I wrote a synopsis of this great deceiver's background and his pivotal role in the so-called 'Toronto Blessing' in my piece warning about 'The Turning' in 2017 (see Topics list), and it will be pertinent to repeat that information here in the context of his forthcoming 'Europe Ablaze' tour, with its eight dates across the UK and Ireland including the one in Wales at The Warehouse Church.

A South African now resident in the USA, Howard-Browne was a key figure in the "holy laughter" movement; from a Word of Faith background in his homeland, he rose to prominence when invited to preach at an AOG church in Lakeland, Florida in the Spring of 1993. It was there that the "holy laughter" phenomenon broke out big-time. Notorious charlatan Oral Roberts, inventor of the "seed-faith" scam, and his son Richard went to Lakeland to check this out, and were so impressed by what was being served at "Joel's Bar" that they invited him to hold meetings at the Oral Roberts University, where the same uncontrollable laughter was experienced.

Even more significantly, while "ministering" at that hot-bed of Word of Faith theology, Kenneth "Dad" Hagin's 'Rhema Bible Training Center' near Tulsa, Oklahoma, a Vineyard pastor named Randy Clark received "the anointing" from Howard-Browne. Hearing of Clark's being tremendously touched, fellow Vineyard pastor John Arnott of the Toronto Airport church invited him to bring the drunken partying to Canada in January, 1994. He did just that, and the rest is history. Dark, dark history. 'The Toronto Blessing' as it became known went global practically overnight, and thousands of discernment-devoid people were soon rolling in the aisles and barking like dogs, laughing hysterically when they should have been weeping with grief for the huge Satanic delusion that had so incredibly infiltrated and overtaken the professing Church of Jesus Christ.

The central role of Howard-Browne in delivering what was probably the most demonic delusion ever unleashed upon the Church cannot be emphasized enough. Charismania was to run rampant across the planet, and a subjective, experiential and experimental faith rather than an objective, Bible-based and immutable Faith has been the grim accepted norm ever since, as "the anointing" like a virus mutated and multiplied and insidiously infected the Body to a pandemic degree. As Jesus declared, "An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign" - and as in His time on Earth, so in ours too!

Seeing is believing as the old saying goes, so I have posted below a few short and sharp and shocking videos of Howard-Browne in action, for the benefit of those who may not have seen anything of his shamanistic showmanship before, just for them to have a taster of what happens when he's in town - and nothing has changed about his occultic, stage hypnotist's mind manipulation techniques from the early days to the present time.

If anyone can watch these clips and not be thoroughly disturbed by what they see and hear, then the needle on their discernment meter must be registering an absolute zero! If any professing believer can observe such appalling antics and not be completely disgusted, then serious questions would be needful as to the reality of their declared faith. Could any genuinely born-again, God-fearing and Scripture-upholding Christian, being indwelt by the Holy Spirit who instructs us on righteous orderliness and sobriety, bear witness to these manifestations being of God? They are so utterly contradictory to the conduct He expects of His people as spelled out in His unchangeable Word! The likes of Howard-Browne eagerly eggs folk on to become blind drunk at "Joel's Bar," and to take unashamed delight in their iniquitous intoxication, in absolute defiance of God's clear teaching on sobriety and decorum. Consider such Scriptural admonitions as:

"Let all things be done decently and in order."

(1 Corinthians 14:40)

"Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober."

(1 Thessalonians 5:6)

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, 

walketh about, seeking whom he may devour."

(1 Peter 5:8)

Vigilance demands sobriety - a completely unclouded and properly analytical mind - which coupled to the Holy Spirit's gifting of spiritual discernment alerts you to real and present danger. Do we really want a befuddled brain to be thinking that the roaring lion is just a purring pussy-cat? Our Enemy's appetite is voracious, and Howard-Browne is nothing if not a well-practiced big-name bait to bring in his next ready-meal. The claws go out, the prey is seized, and another inebriated hyena ends up hanging on a hook in the lion's larder!

With a fanfare of trumpets and a loud beating drum, the Howard-Browne circus rolls into town, with its acrobats and clowns and fire-eaters and pawing lion roaring at the cheering crowds. The ringmaster beams at their laughs and their screams... Roll up! Roll up! It's the greatest show on Earth...

Before we conclude, it will be more than relevant to highlight another of Robbie Howells' apostate connections, namely Kenneth Copeland, whose demonic double-act with Howard-Browne features in the first video clip above. Together with fellow South Walian 'Word of Faith' adherent Alex Ashton of the Vine Christian Centre in Bridgend, Mr. Howells acts as a Trustee of Kenneth Copeland Ministries' UK/Europe operation - Charity No. 326392. Thus it can be clearly seen that they very closely collude with one of the greatest heretics on the face of the planet! My friends, please keep a close guard on your mind, your emotions and your spirit! 'Hyper-Charismatic'/'Word of Faith'/'Prosperity gospel' preachers, whether they be local Laodiceans like Howells or Ashton, or international traffickers of counterfeit Christianity like Copeland or Howard-Browne, are to be as carefully avoided as any infectious disease you might come across in the natural, for a plague they most certainly are in the spiritual! 

Rodney Howard-Browne is quite simply one of Satan's most effective and efficient incendiary devices. Aided and abetted by hireling pastors like Robbie and Donna Howells, he is intent on setting the British Isles ablaze with a falsified faith which presents, for the delectation of the deluded, "another Jesus... another spirit... another gospel." (2 Corinthians 11:4). The hype for this planned conflagration is:

INTRODUCTION

Following on from 'Revive 2018' with Bishop Ceirion Dewar, the subject of my last article (http://watchman4wales.blogspot.co.uk/2018/02/richard-taylor-and-bishop-ceirion-dewar.html), Richard Taylor's next trumpeted event at his New Beginnings Church in Merthyr Tydfil is the arrival of Jonathan and Cristina Miller for "a special weekend of services," March 17-18. These are the founders and Lead Pastors of New Beginnings Healing Center in Orlando, Florida, who Mr. Taylor has jubilantly joined forces with. 

Who a man's best mates and mentors are, those who he is well-pleased to partner with and share a platform with, sheds much light on where that man is at. The very first article that appeared on this site back in May 2013 highlighted concerns that  Richard Taylor's mentor at the time of the so-called "Welsh Outpouring" was the heretical Tommy Tenney, who teaches that God has moved on from the Bible and we have to chase after where He is now! (Obviously Cwmbran at that moment in time!) But let's fast forward to the present, and cast a careful eye on who the counterfeit revivalist Richard Taylor's best buddy is now. It is very relevant and revealing, as we shall see, to check out the ambitious guy who somehow saw fit to appoint a man disqualified from the pulpit as the European Director of "the NBC family" - a burgeoning network to which we should most carefully note that Mr. Miller "gives apostolic oversight," in more than a hint of a New Apostolic Reformation structure of governance.

JONATHAN MILLER, BENNY HINN AND THE "SEED-FAITH" DECEPTION

"A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump."

(Galatians 5:9)

Sadly, Jonathan Miller has been weighed and found wanting. Like all false teachers, Mr. Miller says much that is true. But like all false teachers, he laces that which is true with that which is not. Which makes him a dangerous deceiver, a shaker and server of a deadly spiritual cocktail. It only takes a drop of cyanide to poison the whole glass, just a pinch of leaven to work its way right through the batch. Once introduced, the whole is unavoidably and irrevocably affected. God hates the mixing of truth with untruth, which is what we are confronted with absolutely everywhere in the Church today, and the "Word of Faith" (or simply "Word-Faith") movement - with which Jonathan Miller is aligned and whose aberrant theology he regurgitates - is a classic case of such a fleshly fusion.

We will here examine some of Miller's deeply erroneous teachings, starting our investigation with perhaps the most glaring pointer to his "Word of Faith/Prosperity gospel" proclivities and dearth of discernment: his long and deep friendship with and endorsement and promotion of Benny Hinn, one of the worst of the worst of the host of charlatans masquerading as ministers of the Lord in the world today. I do not propose to go into detail here about Benny Hinn's utter falseness, for this has been extremely well documented in a multitude of places on the internet, and the overwhelming evidence is easily accessed at the click of a mouse. Rather, I want to highlight Miller's significant accord with Hinn, which it would be a massive mistake to turn a blind eye to. As Holy Writ with all the unanswerable divine wisdom of its Author asks:

 "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"

(Amos 3:3)

Miller walks with Hinn, who is welcomed at his church. His awe of and entanglement with Hinn goes back a good many years. They are agreed, and this harmony in itself decisively demonstrates that he is an equally renegade representative of the Faith. Miller, guesting in 2016 on Hinn's 'This Is Your Day' TV programme, revealed conclusively his belief not only in Hinn's "ministry" but in the grotesque "seed-faith" give-to-get scam dreamed up by that notorious money-raker and fake, Oral Roberts, urging gullible viewers to pour their dollars into Hinn's already very considerable coffers. I will transcribe here some of that very enlightening broadcast entitled 'Miracles of Multiplication!' (which in itself gives a good idea of what is afoot!); anyone who so wishes can watch the whole unseemly half-hour episode here:

This is the sycophantic and deluded Miller, urging the viewers to follow his example and "plant a seed" (i.e. deposit a significant sum of money) into Hinn's "fertile soil" for a guaranteed tenfold increase:

"Many people will be watching today that are facing a specific need of fifty thousand dollars... My challenge to you is do you have the tithe, ten per cent of that amount? Will you step out in faith today... and give God [actually Benny Hinn] a tithe of five thousand dollars seed?... The anointing is here... and I declare to you in not many days from now it's going to come back to you, the full amount... but... you've got to give Him [actually Hinn] something to work with and you've got to give Him [Hinn] something to move on. I know there's many of you watching today facing a ten thousand dollar need, some of you are facing a five thousand dollar need. And I want to take a moment to tell you that I have tested and proven the soil of this ministry. This is fertile soil. Good ground. Good soil. There are some grounds that yield a little bit of increase and there are some that yield multiplied increase, and this field of this ministry is a field that I've proven time and time again. I have never sown a seed into this ministry and not seen God return it back to me, even more than what I could expect... There's something about this ministry, and it is because of what you [addressing Hinn] preach."

We only need to apply some basic common sense to determine the utter fallacy of this premise. If it was for real, let's say someone did exactly as Miller urges and indeed got a $50,000 return for his $5,000 stake. He could then invest that $50,000 in Hinn's "fertile soil" and get a whopping half a million dollars back, as God doesn't fail to deliver, does He? Then, with only a third seeding, he'd reap no less than five million. Five million then yields fifty million, fifty million spawns five hundred million, and just one more investment in the bank (sorry, ministry) of Benny Hinn, and you're a billionaire five times over!!!

Truth of the matter? This "seeding" is effectively spinning a spiritual roulette wheel, and infinitely more likely to get you much further into monetary trouble rather than out of it. The only guys it ever works for, the only high-fliers with the fancy mansions and the flashy cars parked up front are those who teach this lie of how to use God for gain; everyone who heeds their call to greed will almost certainly continue to park their average car outside the church, and drive it back home to their average house containing average possessions. And what is wrong with average things? Aren't we supposed to build up our treasures in Heaven, not here on Earth?

WE ARE PROMISED PROSPERITY ONLY IN HIS GRACE, NOT IN OUR PURSE!

God is no man's debtor, and sowing a Biblical seed has nothing whatsoever to do with money; it is the sharing of the blessed hope of salvation unto eternal life through belief in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. God forbid that we re-define it as anything else. If we, like Miller, dare to do so, it has to be asked, "What master are we serving?" As the Word avers: 

"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; 

or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. 

Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

GIVING AS TAUGHT BY THE BIBLE EXPECTS NOTHING IN RETURN. GIVING AS TAUGHT BY JONATHAN MILLER AND HIS MERCENARY ILK ON THE OTHER HAND EXPECTS A MULTIPLICATION OF ONE'S MONEY IN RETURN, AND IS AN UTTER ABOMINATION. HAVE THESE PEOPLE NEVER READ, "THOU SHALT NOT TEMPT THE LORD THY GOD?" (Matthew 4:7 and Luke 4:12)

Hinn's 'This Is Your Day' broadcasts every weekday on TBN, the biggest mouthpiece for "Word of Faith/Prosperity gospel" heresy on the planet. Unsurprisingly, we find that his bosom buddy Miller also airs on TBN, not only guesting on the main USA channel's programmes but also having his very own 'New Beginnings' slot on TBN Salsa, their English language Hispanic network launched in 2015. Miller's increasing exposure on the Total Blasphemy Network demonstrates that he is a man well trusted by them to deliver their false gospel of "name-it-and-claim-it" health and wealth.

With this firmly in mind, let's now look at a couple of recent (2017) articles written by Mr. Miller, containing teachings that clearly underscore his alignment with the heretical, even blasphemous "Word of Faith" brand of alternative "Christianity."

JONATHAN MILLER AND "POSITIVE/NEGATIVE CONFESSION"

Here is Miller teaching the doctrine of demons commonly known as Positive/Negative Confession:

"Have you ever considered your words to be a powerful force? When I think of a powerful force, I envision that nothing is able to stand in its way. Did you know that God has given us that kind of a powerful force and He's put it in our mouths in the form of words? We can either use those words to release God's will and purpose upon this earth; or, we can use them to bring destruction upon our own lives."

Friends, this is heresy. Rank heresy. The idea that words in themselves are a force having the power to alter reality has nothing whatsoever to do with Christianity, and everything to do with an occultic mindset. Jonathan Miller is here teaching witchcraft! Period. And in making his apostate argument, he breathtakingly twists a Scripture to attribute a power to mere mortals that the Almighty alone possesses:

"Isaiah 55:11 says, "So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." The word of the Lord comes to earth and is established ONLY when the redeemed of the Lord "say so!" 

In other words, we need to say a thing."

So that there's no misunderstanding of this divine ability that he attributes to us, Miller goes on to assert:

"Life and death are in the power of our tongues. It is up to us to speak "life" in every situation. When we do, Isaiah 55:11 reminds us that the word which goes forth out of our mouths will not return void. It will accomplish what He pleases. It will prosper where it is sent." 

No, Mr. Miller, it's not WE who speak to accomplish what the Lord pleases. It's not WE who send words which will not return void. It's God Himself! You re-write His holy Word to teach a lie! He has no need whatsoever of any mere man to "release" His will and purpose. How dare you to declare that the word of the Lord is only established when we humans say so? He is Sovereign Lord of all creation! The word comes out of HIS mouth, not ours! You attempt to make us equal to the Most High, and isn't that the selfsame desire that led to Satan's fall? (Ref. Isaiah 14:12-14). Can you not see, Mr. Miller, the most terrible seriousness of your crass, indeed blasphemous claim?

JONATHAN MILLER AND "SPEAKING HEALING"

"You may be sick, but don't stop speaking you are healed!"

This is the extremely foolish, indeed downright dangerous kind of "denial" teaching from the pulpit that causes diabetics to stop taking their insulin, asthmatics to throw away their inhalers, cancer sufferers to cease their radio- and chemo-therapy and people not to phone for an ambulance when they've had a stroke or are having a coronary. This is the kind of "Positive Confession" folly that results not in healing but in continued and worsening health problems that can even lead to the death of individuals who fall victim to this dreadful deception.

As we noted above, to Mr. Miller words are a force. "Remember," he says, "nothing can stand in the way of a powerful force. Just speak the Word!" "Stop worrying about all the obstacles that seemingly stand in the way of God's promises!" he declares. (Ref. 'Your Words Are A Powerful Force.') Thing is, He never promised us physical healing this side of eternity; He promised us only spiritual healing upon our acceptance of His Son as Lord and Saviour. In this life the believer is subject to exactly the same health issues as everybody else. Our spirit may be redeemed, but it still inhabits a body of fallen flesh and blood and no amount of speaking that we are healed when we are sick is going to change things one iota. 

"Word of Faith" adherents preach that physical healing is our right. It is not. Did the Lord remove Paul's thorn? Nope. It actually had a purpose in His plan for the Apostle's life and ministry. Did Paul tell Trophimus to speak his healing and accompany him? Nope. He left him at Miletum, still sick and unable to travel. (2 Timothy 4:20). In Timothy's frequent infirmities, did Paul advise him to use words to effect healing? Nope. He told him to take a little wine for his stomach's sake. (1 Timothy 5:23). Our words cannot change the reality of any given situation, for we do not have the ability that only the Lord God of creation possesses. We cannot by-pass God, making ourselves "little gods" with god-like powers. To attempt to do so is rebellion to His Sovereignty over all things. And rebellion is as witchcraft, wherein, as we have noted, lies this Bible-defying belief in words as a force.

Jonathan Miller is set on putting the word spoken out of our own mouths on a par with the Word of God Himself. Consider this quote by one Nuno Pedro, the "Prosperity Gospel" pastor of Charisma, a megachurch in Paris, France:

"He [God] instructs us to put His Word in our heart and in our mouth, so that by proclaiming it with faith, we can produce the same results as He! 

Same results as God, nothing less!"

These guys are all on the same warped wavelength. No surprise then to find that Jonathan Miller has guested at Charisma, as indeed have many others of his ilk like Tommy Tenney (what a coincidence!), Creflo Dollar, T.D.Jakes, Casey Treat, Morris Cerullo, Kim Clement, Juanita Bynum, Mike Murdoch, Jesse Duplantis, Myles Munroe, Steve Munsey... even Wales' own WoF frontman - Ray Bevan! CONCLUSION

All these folks speak (or scream!) about Jesus and the Gospel. Question is, What Jesus? What Gospel? Jonathan Miller avers that, "The only thing we really have to worry about is our mouths speaking the wrong things." (Ref. 'Never Stop Speaking.') Wrong, Mr Miller. The thing we should be absolutely concerning ourselves about is not "speaking the wrong things," but whether we and those teachers we might be heeding have the bona fide Jesus and the bona fide Gospel! Is the faith that we and they are proclaiming the unerring, uncompromising Faith that was once and for all time delivered? (Jude v.3). Or is it a faith subtly re-defined and re-delivered to itching ears?

FRIENDS, TAKE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AT FACE VALUE. TEST EVERYTHING THAT ANY PREACHER UTTERS AGAINST THE WATERTIGHT WORD OF GOD. REMEMBER ALWAYS:

"There were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies."

RICHARD TAYLOR, BACK IN THE DRIVING SEAT OF COUNTERFEIT REVIVALISM AT 'NEW BEGINNINGS CHURCH' IN MERTHYR TYDFIL.

"But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse,

INTRODUCTION

I never wanted to write about this man again. I really didn't. Nothing would have pleased me more than to put all the issues surrounding this ignominious individual firmly to bed, once and for all. And I would have done, if only he'd somehow found it in him to have the good grace and the integrity to keep away from the pulpit he so unashamedly and determinedly disgraced, rather than have the temerity to disgrace it all over again, deceiving and being deceived. But my hand has regrettably been forced by his re-emergence into the limelight; the big con is sadly still very much on, and a long dark shadow continues to be cast across the land. The pied piper is once again playing his seductive tune, and a clear warning has to be given.


AN IGNORED EXCLUSION FROM LEADERSHIP

There are three major temptations to overtake a Christian leader. (I use the term "Christian" loosely, to include those leaders masquerading as ministers of righteousness, whose "Jesus" is in reality "the lord of the fraud" as highlighted in my last article:

The three great temptations? Money/Materialism, Power/Control, and Sex - immoral sex to be exact. Some may fall at one hurdle, some at two, and some like Richard Taylor even fall at all three. And when all that occurs concurrent with that person heading up a church where he is supposedly appointed and anointed to lead an "outpouring" of the Holy Spirit, that "outpouring" clearly cannot have been the work of a holy God but only a product of fallen flesh. In a nutshell, the much-feted event presided over by Mr. Taylor that became known as the "Welsh Outpouring" was just an elaborately engineered exercise in soulish sensationalism, just another hyper-Charismatic engagement in Laodicean lunacy.

While Mr. Taylor was being trumpeted as being "the real deal," the awful reality behind the carefully-cultivated illusion was that he was about as genuine as a plastic Rolex or a politician's promise, and every bit as sound as a Bank of Toytown pound. While publicly he was boasting that he and fellow Cwmbran crow Andrew Parsons were going to head up the greatest revival that the world had ever seen, privately he was engaged in an extra-marital sexual relationship, for which adultery he was subsequently dismissed by Elim (to which his Victory Church was affiliated) and banned from the pulpit. End of the unhappy saga? Sadly, not so. Banned from one pulpit, he simply seeks another...

The refusal to accept due discipline is the hallmark of an arrogant and wayward, even anarchic spirit, not that of a genuinely repentant, God-fearing man. Scripturally, adultery debars a church leader from being in a place of leadership, not just for a few years as Elim decreed, but permanently. Most certainly a truly repentant pastor can be restored to fellowship, but never to such a position as he held formerly. It is troubling indeed that there has to be a serious question as to Mr. Taylor's real repentance, and thus qualification for return even to fellowship, for if he was truly penitent he would humbly accept that he cannot hold such an office of leadership again, not demonstrate a wilful determination to do exactly that which he has disqualified himself from doing.

"Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body;

but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you,

which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?"

(1 Corinthians 6:18-19)

Significantly, Paul later elaborates upon this teaching, and in a personal context:

"But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection:

lest that by any means, when I have preached to others,

I myself should be a castaway."

(1 Corinthians 9:27)

In adultery, when a born-again believer who is indwelt by the Holy Spirit commits such an act, he not only sins against his own body, but he effectively makes God a part of that coupling also! The seriousness of such a thing cannot possibly be understated. God in His wonderful grace will still forgive, if forgiveness is honestly sought, but the stain on that person's character remains for the rest of his days. He has severed the holy three-fold marriage cord between a man, his wife and God, and brought reproach upon not only himself but the Church which he has thus betrayed. The pastor is Christ's representative. Would Christ be unfaithful to His bride? Unthinkable! When the shepherd strays, what of the sheep? Will they not see his bad example, and think such behaviour is acceptable, excusable and OK for them also, with the attitude of "what's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander?" Grace manifested in forgiveness still applies, but not trust, for the adulterous pastor has demonstrated decisively that if he cannot be trusted to be faithful to his wife or his Saviour in earthly things, he cannot ever be safely trusted with the stewardship of the things of heaven.

This is Paul's meaning when he says that if he himself could not keep himself in check when sexual temptation came his way (as it undoubtedly did as a single man), then he would forfeit his calling to leadership by such indulgence. And we should note well that after the word "castaway" there is a full stop. And neither is there any following sentence speaking of restoration to his previous position after such a sin; his disqualification would be a permanent one. The top of the cliff, after falling to the rocks, never becomes part of the clifftop again but remains on the lower level. Significantly, the Greek word (adokimos) used here by Paul also means rejected or reprobate; it is only used once in all Scripture, never referenced again; once you become a castaway, a castaway you remain. 

"What about forgiveness? Shouldn't we be eager to restore our fallen brethren?

To fellowship, yes. But not to leadership. It is not an act of love to return a disqualified man to public ministry, it is an act of disobedience."

When the leadership of 'Heads of the Valleys Church' in Merthyr Tydfil installed Richard Taylor as their Senior Pastor recently, it was an act not of righteousness but of disobedience to God, for which they will be held accountable by Him. Les Bevan, their Lead Pastor, had been given that position by Richard Taylor himself, when that church was operating as a Victory Church "campus," being established by him as part of his "50/10" self-given vision to establish 50 such "campuses" across Wales in a decade, after Bethania chapel's existing congregation was forced to vacate the premises under what can only be described as extremely dubious circumstances. In his "you scratched-my-back-so-now-I'll-scratch-yours" action, Mr. Bevan has shown his approval and elevation of unrighteousness above righteousness, and loyalty to the tainted contrivances of Taylor rather than to the pure cause of Christ. He has made himself both complicit and culpable.


RICHARD TAYLOR AND FINIS DAKE

OK, you may well be saying, I know of Richard Taylor, but who's this Finis Dake, and what's the link between the two? The vital link is 'Dake's Annotated Reference Bible.'

Maybe you've heard of this tome, maybe you haven't; what's important to record here is that the DARB is the "pseudo-Bible" that Richard Taylor uses, confirmed by the man himself in his Tweet of 31/8/17, publishing a photo of it with the words, "It's travelled thousands of miles across oceans far and wide it's been my companion, it's old and falling apart but keeps me together." The significance of this is huge.

It's for very good reason that I use the expression "pseudo-Bible" in citing Mr. Taylor's constant companion, for Finis Dake's DARB actually dares to take God's Word (KJV) and alongside it annotate it in such a way as to present a false "Jesus" and a false gospel that cannot save. It is a work that has contributed enormously to formulating and underpinning the most grievous heresies of the Word of Faith movement, with Dake's heretical spin on God and the things of God being taken up with relish by the WoF wolf-pack.

As an example, consider if you will a few of Dake's notes on God the Father:

"He has a personal spirit body; shape; form; image and likeness of a man. He has bodily parts such as, back parts, heart, hands and fingers, mouth, lips and tongue, feet, eyes, ears, hair, head, face, arms, loins, and other bodily parts. He has bodily presence and goes from place to place in a body like all other persons. He has a voice; breath; and countenance. He wears clothes; eats; rests; dwells in a mansion and in a city located on a material planet called Heaven; sits on a throne; walks; rides; engages in other activities. He has a personal soul with feelings of grief; anger; repentance; jealousy; hate; love; pity; fellowship; pleasure and delight; and other soul passions like other beings."

Sound more than a little like Ken Copeland's "god" who's made in the image of man? In his comprehensive 1993 expose of the Word of Faith movement (of which the likes of Copeland is a central figure), Christianity in Crisis, Hank Hanegraaf in his overview of study Bibles declared that, "Perhaps the worst collection of false teachings is found in the popular Dake's Annotated Reference Bible... On the very first page of the New Testament, Dake writes that Jesus became the Christ or the 'Anointed One' 30 years after He was born of Mary." 

Consider this concise appraisal of Dake's work and influence:

"It is amazing how influential one false teacher can be. For example, much of the aberrant theology of Hagin, Copeland, Hinn, et al. can be traced to one man, Finis Dake. His Dake's Annotated Reference Bible presents, among other errors, the idea that God the Father has a physical body similar to man's; that he eats, wears clothes and lives on a planet called Heaven; that Adam and Eve flew back and forth to the moon; that Christians will continue to have children throughout eternity; and even that there will be segregation between races in heaven. Who could believe such antibiblical nonsense? Multitudes. And they accept it from the notes in a "reference" Bible which sold 30,000 copies in 1992!"

So much for his work. Let's take just a glimpse at the man himself. Finis Dake's notes on the New Testament were written while he was serving a prison sentence; and no, it was not through some action of upholding the Faith. It was consequent to him pleading guilty to an offence under the USA's Mann Act, which states:

"SEC. 4. That any person who shall knowingly persuade, induce, entice or coerce any woman or girl under the age of eighteen years from any State or Territory or the District of Columbia to any other State or Territory or the District of Columbia, with the purpose and intent to induce or coerce her, or that she shall be induced or coerced to engage in prostitution or debauchery, or any other immoral practice, and shall in furtherance of such purpose knowingly induce or cause her to go and to be carried or transported as a passenger in interstate commerce upon the line or route of any common carrier or carriers, shall be deemed guilty of a felony, and in conviction there of shall be punished by a fine of not more than ten thousand dollars, or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding ten years, or by both such fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the court."

Dake (a married man) had picked up a 16-year-old hitchhiker, then booking them into various hotels as 'Christian Anderson and wife' and obviously with sexual intent, as per the Mann Act quoted above. Hmmm... false "Christian" works, running in tandem with sexual immorality... are we getting any feelings of deja-vu here? Todd Bentley perhaps? Benny Hinn and Paula White? Or just maybe Richard Taylor? Time and again we find this ugly pattern repeating itself, of major spiritual departure going hand in hand with gross physical iniquity.

WITH RICHARD TAYLOR BEING A LONG-TIME ADHERENT OF DAKE, WHOSE PEN WAS PROMPTED NOT BY THE HOLY SPIRIT BUT BY THE SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST, IT BECOMES CLEARER JUST WHY HIS BRAND OF "CHRISTIANITY" IS SO FAR OFF THE MARK.



RICHARD TAYLOR, JONATHAN MILLER AND "THE HOLY GHOST BARTENDER"

Who is Jonathan Miller? Well, this is Richard Taylor's newest best buddy, the latest in a succession of dubious dear pals from across the Pond.

Mr. Miller is Senior Pastor (as is wife Cristina) of New Beginnings Church in Orlando, Florida, who Mr. Taylor has extremely enthusiastically hooked up with, becoming New Beginnings' European Director from 1 September, 2017. In line with this proud Stateside partnering, Bethania chapel/aka Victory Church Merthyr Campus/aka Heads of the Valleys Church has now been re-launched yet again, this time as New Beginnings Church, complete with all the Orlando outfit's trimmings. We might at this point also note that just as Mr. Miller's wife has been installed as Senior Pastor in Orlando, Mr. Taylor has also similarly installed his own wife Jill as Senior Pastor in Merthyr Tydfil. A Bible-believing Christian of course, knows full well that no woman is called to be a pastor, never mind a senior one, and such an appointment to a position of leadership and authority is in itself proof not of such a church's Biblical soundness but its open rebellion to God, which is as witchcraft. (Ref. 1 Samuel 15:23)

Mr. Miller, who partners with the WoF movement's Total Blasphemy Network, is a man who collects "strange fire" impartations like other people collect postage stamps. Benny Hinn, Oral Roberts, Reinhard Bonnke, Rod Parsley and Rex Humbard have each contributed to his collection; spiritual miscreants one and all, who he calls "Generals in the Faith!" It follows, unsurprisingly, that his new European Director also has a predilection for such things. Following his August trip to Bulgaria to preach to the poor / sun himself by the pool of his holiday hotel, he flew on to the Netherlands, in order to receive "ministry" from no less a person than "The Holy Ghost Bartender" himself, Rodney Howard-Browne, duly being served with a speciality-of-the-house "strange fire" top-up courtesy of "Joel's Bar."


BIRDS OF A FEATHER AND ALL THAT... OR SHALL WE JUST MAKE THAT VULTURES OF A FEATHER... ?

RICHARD TAYLOR AND "THE WELSH OUTPOURING"

In writing this article I personally get a real sense of deja-vu, for I started this blog back in May, 2013, writing on the very subject of Richard Taylor. The catalyst for me doing so was that it had become obvious to me, in investigating the back-story, that there were very serious questions to be asked about the authenticity of the so-called "Welsh Outpouring" which had broken out the previous month at his Victory Church in Cwmbran.

I wrote much about the "outpouring" to try and alert people to its counterfeit nature, and this material can be accessed by anyone so interested by clicking on the relevant entries in the Topics column on the right or the Labels found at the foot of this article. What I wish to do here is to reproduce, with the correspondent's full permission to do so, a comment that came in on my last article, which is a most sobering and revealing personal testimony: 

  "I know Richard Taylor well and do count him as a friend, however i was involved in the so called outpouring that took place in Cwmbran and was in fact there on the first night it all started. I quickly realised that not all was as it seemed and the many unbiblical practices that i saw confirmed it for me. I left the church shortly after the outpouring ended, disillusioned and questioning my faith. This is the danger of these type of events which are based on hype and hysteria with very little biblical foundation. I do fear that restoring Richard Taylor to senior leadership is not an act of love but more an act of disobedience on the part of the leaders at Merthyr. Paul the Apostle teaches plainly that a leader who falls into sin, namely sexual sin is disqualified from leadership not for 3, 5 years but for good. Restoration to the kingdom goes without saying but not to leadership.I fear that the event which is taking place at Merthyr in October will be nothing short of another invented "move of God" I stand firm in the Lord these days, relying on His word and leading, not the ramblings of so called "spiritual" people who spout heresy and belittle the Holy Spirit. I am not finger pointing,just giving my opinion and experience of hyper Pentecostalism. We are called to expose lies and deceit and for me i do not want my friends caught up in this so called Christianity, it will not save you, only Confession, Repentance and Belief in The Lord Jesus Christ will. Coming as it does from someone who was not only present but actually part of the Victory team on the very night that the "outpouring" broke out, this account is of incalculable importance in sounding an urgent warning. It not only affirms my own "outsider's" concerns about the Cwmbran extravaganza from an "insider's" perspective, but also mirrors my serious misgivings about the forthcoming 3-day event entitled "Revive" at Mr. Taylor's new power base in Dowlais, Merthyr Tydfil, on 27-29 October.

PLEASE, PLEASE HEED THESE HEARTFELT WORDS, BORN OF EXCRUCIATING FIRST-HAND EXPERIENCE OF CWMBRAN'S COUNTERFEIT OUTPOURING, AND KEEP YOURSELF SAFELY WELL AWAY FROM THE "STRANGE FIRE" BEING RE-KINDLED BY RICHARD TAYLOR AND HIS FELLOW RECKLESS INCENDIARIES AT NEW BEGINNINGS CHURCH!



IN CONCLUSION

It would be laughable if it wasn't so tragic. How bitterly ironic, that a man who in 2009 wrote a book called 'Authentic Christianity' was to be responsible just 4 years later for one of the most unauthentic examples of Christianity that Wales has ever been subjected to, the so-called "Welsh Outpouring" at Cwmbran. That book is subtitled 'The Real Deal With God,' but the "outpouring" was as much the real deal as the contents of a suitcase in the van of Trotter's Independent Trading Co., nothing but a cheap counterfeit, a noxious scent in a leaking forged bottle which if Trading Standards had anything to do with spiritual things, would have immediately been removed from the shelves of Babylonian Bargains and the dishonest trader taken to task.

Conditions are carefully created, through repetitive music and lighting arrangements in particular, to create heightened emotions and a heavy air of theatrical expectancy, ultimately causing an audience to enter an altered state of consciousness. In this way their analytical filters are shut down, and they are primed to ecstatically accept and act upon any powerful suggestion being tossed out to them from the platform by some silver-tongued charmer. An unquestioning herd mentality holds sway. This was the case at Cwmbran; it is a scenario being played out endlessly in auditoriums globally. And one thing we can be 100% sure of is that it is definitely not of God.

Friends, the moral standards of Christians are lower now than they've ever been, while at the same time their desire to elevate subjective experience above objective Bible-centred teaching is higher now than it's ever been. Who even mentions, or - perish the thought! - urges to holiness and sanctification any more, enthusing only of "the anointing" and "impartation?" Whose interests are being served by so lowering the bar? Only those who do not want to be raised to higher morality, only those who want their sensual itching ears tickled with words of sweet seduction and not be faced with the desperate depths of human depravity. If the Gospel being preached does not cut to the quick, rending the spirit, then it is a different, depthless, easy-believism gospel that is no gospel at all. Sleep-walking its way down the broad road that leads only to ultimate destruction, this is the kind of toothless tiger that the Church en masse is cuddling so closely. People everywhere are being bamboozled into believing that all is well with their soul and that their eternal destiny is secure, when that is simply not so. Is there any greater evil than this being done in the Lord's Name?

RICHARD TAYLOR AND NEW BEGINNINGS CHURCH IN MERTHYR TYDFIL ARE JUST LOCAL SYMPTOMS OF A VIRULENT CANCER THAT IS RELENTLESSLY SPREADING RIGHT THROUGH THE ENTIRE BODY OF CHRIST, A MALIGNANCY THAT FEW ARE PREPARED TO EVEN ACCEPT THE DIAGNOSIS OF, NEVER MIND HAVE THE GODLY WILLINGNESS TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT. IT IS THE TIME OF THE GREAT FALLING AWAY, A HARD-CORE END-TIMES APOSTASY, A CUT-PRICE COUNTERFEIT CHRISTIANITY THAT IS BEING HAILED BY THE CHEERING CHAFF AND THE TRUTH-TRASHING TARES AS GOD RESTORING HIS PEOPLE. FRIENDS, THE REVIVAL THESE PEOPLE SPEAK OF IS A REVIVAL ONLY OF BABYLON.
