NEW WINE CYMRU LEADERS CONFERENCE WITH NICKY GUMBEL

The doctrine of Christ. Let's home in on a critical part of that doctrine which, if any man does not hold to, we are instructed to have nothing to do with him... and he who would receive him and bless him is held by Holy Writ to be a sharer in his EVIL works:

"Let no man deceive you with vain words:

for because of these things cometh the wrath of God

upon the children of disobedience.

Be not ye therefore partakers with them...

Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness,

but rather reprove them."

(Ephesians 5:6-11)

With these Scriptural mandates firmly in mind, let us now look to the 2023 New Wine Cymru Leaders Conference in Swansea on 9/10 June, whose keynote speaker is the Rev. Nicky Gumbel, whose very name is synonymous with the Alpha Course that he personally shaped whilst in leadership at Holy Trinity Brompton. This Anglican "church" also happened to be the springboard for launching the demonic "Toronto Blessing" (actually the most terrible of curses!) in the UK, which Gumbel delightedly participated in and promoted, which in itself should have been sufficient warning of his discernment-devoid unsoundness! Nevertheless, his tame toothless tiger that is Alpha has gone on to roam the world freely, bringing with it the triple deadly spiritual viruses of Pit-deep ecumenical compromise, easy-believism's rootless "salvation," and the heinous Charismatic excess that is in reality the Kundalini "serpent rising" of Hindu mysticism. But there is even more than this to very greatly concern ourselves about.

Make no mistake, Nicky Gumbel - who has met with both John Paul II and Francis - is a most prominent player in the End Times drive to bring those in the evangelical and Roman Catholic camps ever closer together, eventually cementing them into a single "Church" entity, heralding a unity based in no way on Truth but on the determined axing of sound doctrine and its replacement with an experiential faith which is in fact unbelief. Gumbel has worked tirelessly to bring about such a modern-day Counter Reformation; if only his efforts were for the Faith that was once delivered, rather than for the shoddy antichrist counterfeit that seeks to displace it! Alpha lovingly licks the Pope's hand, and he in turn endearingly pats it on the head and tickles it under the chin, knowing full well how this pampered pet is playing such a huge part in bringing "the separated brethren" back into the Vatican harlot's bed.

'Alpha for Catholics' be it well noted, is EXACTLY THE SAME as Alpha for everyone else, and as long ago as 1997 R.C. Bishop of Hexham Ambrose Griffiths was quoted in that July's 'Alpha News' as commending it as a "powerful evangelistic tool... it doesn't contain anything that is contrary to Catholic doctrine." Let's be clear about this: if the Catholic take on Christianity is in no way threatened by Alpha, then Alpha's "Gospel" message cannot be being presented as Holy Writ presents it. How can this not be seen by evangelicals as being an issue of enormous proportions? Obviously, something is very amiss somewhere, in both the presentation of and the unquestioning acceptance of this globally hyped Christian primer. How can it not be seen that when a R.C. Bishop refers to it as a "powerful evangelistic tool," it is not in the context of bringing a person into a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ but in its serving as a useful bait to  entice the unsuspecting into R.C. churches, where they will then of course be taught the abominations of that religion like transubstantiation, purgatory, the confessional, Marian co-redeemership, praying to the dead, etc.?

SHAME on Julian Richards' New Wine Cymru for inviting a man such as Gumbel into their midst to peddle his apostate wares to all and sundry, in complete defiance of the clear Scriptures which headed this article! While all believers are Biblically instructed to "have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness," Richards and his blind ecumenical cohort have no problem at all with such a travesty; rather than properly reprimanding Gumbel for his brazen betrayal of the Faith, they put him on a platform and applaud him wildly! How is this so? It can only be because they are all on board the same train as him, with the same destination... and their seventy-five quid tickets to ride are stamped "THE CHILDREN OF DISOBEDIENCE!"

AMANDA LINDSEY COOK AT 'THE BIG CHURCH FESTIVAL' 2023.

"God is a Spirit: and they that worship him 

must worship him in spirit and IN TRUTH."

(John 4:24 - my capitalization of words for emphasis)

Question. When is a Christian to avoid participating in worship like the plague?

Answer. (Which you must surely know already!) When it is not the God of the Bible who is being worshipped!

Which, in a nutshell, is the reason for me presenting this little piece concerning what is hyped as being the biggest Christian event in the UK. With an expected attendance of over 30,000, 'The Big Church Festival' taking place on 27/28 May, 2023 at the Wiston Estate in West Sussex is a jamboree of quite extraordinary proportions, with more than 50 artists performing across several stages. Such a great coming together has to be good for the health and expression of the Faith in these islands, must it not? This surely has to be something for we believers to feel good about and cheer on, yes? If only that was indeed the case...

By way of emphasizing just how cautious we must be when it comes to feted artists on the Christian music/worship scene today, I want here to focus on one example of a tare masquerading as wheat who has a huge following among the deceived, a lady hailed as a "great friend" of 'The Big Church Festival' by the name of Amanda Lindsey Cook, who will be appearing there again this year. If I've absolutely shocked and dismayed anyone by saying this of her, I will present concrete evidence - by the testimony of her own lips - that she in no way knows either the true God of the Bible or His Son, for she is NOT a born-again believer but a dyed-in-the-wool New Ager.

On April 11, 2019, 'The Christian Post' published an interview with her, which sadly provides abundant proof of what I am averring here. No-one who has experienced the new birth, and is indwelt by the Holy Spirit who witnesses only to absolute Truth, could say the things that she does in this interview, which testifies only to the fact that she is on an entirely different path to the Narrow Way; it is in fact the broad highway whose destination is destruction! Cook: "Every day I increasingly felt like gravity and the great beyond, called God, was working in my favor. It was bringing things together, bringing things back to me and organizing puzzle pieces in a way that I didn't see they would fit together but they started fitting together. So it's as much a literal experience as it is a canon of sorts."

My comment: Cook is here identifying with a force. (Word of Faith teaching commonly holds that faith is a force). But even more worrying is her reference to "the great beyond, called God," going on to call Him an IT! This shocking depersonalization of the living God is nothing less than a blasphemous denial of and a mystical New Age re-definition of who He really is.

Cook: "I love this divine essence that we so commonly refer to as God. I think it becomes this common, almost familiar thing that it has connotations because we basically impose our belief system on whatever we think God is when we say the word "God." I love the names that this essence and this divine presence gives itself. In the Old Testament, where God describes themselves as "I am," also the name Yahweh, the intake and exhale of breath. I (also) love the name Emmanuel, "ever-present."

My comment: Her "God" is again defined as an IT, a vague and impersonal "divine essence" that gives ITself names. It's important not to miss the significance of her referencing Yahweh as "the intake and exhale of breath." The contemplative movement - an exponentially growing branch of counterfeit Christianity - has sanitised what is a deeply Hindu/Buddhist practice as "breath/centering prayer" but it is an Eastern occult technique for entering into an altered state of consciousness ("the silence") allowing supposed communing with the god within, of which all are seen to be a part. We might well also note that Emmanuel does not mean "ever-present" as Cook alleges of this essence/presence, but rather "God With Us" - and it is a prophetic Name of the Biblical Jesus, whom she perceives only as a New Age entity, as we'll go on to all too plainly see.

Cook: "So for this (song), I feel like there's a few layers to it. The song comes from the phrase, "I am because you are," the whole phrase, it's acknowledging that "I exist because you exist and therefore we exist." It's this common acknowledgment, this communal aspect of living, where we're all connected, we're all part of the common thread... to be connected at the source to this divine presence, this Christ consciousness, and to celebrate that in the very center of our own heart, the center of my own soul, that's where it exists. It's holding me together and it's holding you together, it's holding us together."

My comment: Cook's panentheistic mindset is clearly evidenced here, and surely most damningly by her use of the term "Christ consciousness," which has absolutely nothing to do with the Christ of Biblical revelation and everything to do with the supposed universally present internal "IT" of New Age thinking. 

Cook: "When I got there (the house), I called one of my friends, Stephanie. I said to her, "because it's empty I thought it would feel eerie, but it actually feels really friendly." We started musing on that (and thought) perhaps that's actually what going into our soul feels like. When St. Theresa of Avila talks about the interior castle, perhaps that's what it actually feels like to go inward to the hidden spaces - the eternal internal, infinite spaciousness that is our spirit. Stephanie came out for a weekend and we talked about canonizing that kind of motif, that kind of picture in modern language. Perhaps, it's a thank you note to St. Theresa. Perhaps, it's a thank you note to everyone who has given us a language for those spaces in our soul."

My comment: OK. Teresa of Avila was a Roman Catholic mystic, and her book 'The Interior Castle' that Cook so favourably refers to here is a prominent work on "Christian" mysticism and "Christian" meditation, i.e. contemplative spirituality. "Going into our soul?" What Cook is talking about is the process of communing with the supposed god (of which we are all part) within, via occult practices.

Still not convinced? To see, and unarguably so, that Cook has completely bought into the New Age worldview and worships a different "Jesus," let's go to her Facebook posting of 19 April 2019, which reads:

"Happy Good Friday everyone. I never know how to greet people on this day... a day we mark as a moment in time when the Enlightened Master seemed to descend into shadows. It would have seemed at the time that it was a step backwards rather than a triumph. It would seem that life rolls out for all of us in a similar fashion. We want to fast forward these parts, these traumatic events."

So we know now that to Cook, the very Son of God, the Word made flesh, is merely an Enlightened Master of the New Age! Oh, may she find the real Christ while there is yet time for her to do so!

After the above exposing of the true, utterly delusional nature of her spirituality, it is easy to see why Amanda Cook is part of the Bethel stable of artists. Bill Johnson's NAR operation in Redding, California is a veritable epicentre of apostasy in these "anything goes" End Times which we have been catapulted into. And an integral part of the Bethel poison is its hugely influential music wing, which of course includes the Bethel Music "worship" group and Jesus Culture. Quite apart from Cook, and further greatly emphasizing the completely unsound and deceptive nature of 'The Big Church Festival,' Bethel Music will also be back there, as well as (Hillsong) United and Matt Maher. If perchance you didn't know, Maher is a committed Roman Catholic whose "Jesus" is the Eucharistic Christ of that utterly false faith, and not the Jesus of The Word. He is at the very forefront of the antichrist agenda to create unity between Roman Catholicism and evangelicalism, such unity being not in Truth but in Bible-debasing compromise! 

As I write these words, a multitude of professing Christians will be eagerly getting ready to travel from all parts of the UK to the South East to participate in this sad, ecumenical shindig, throwing discernment and wisdom to the four winds. As an awful consequence, they will be enthusiastically singing along with artists who have a very different "Jesus," not knowing the real One. How dreadful to be joining in with the worship of a false god, blind to the blasphemy of their actions. I can only hope and pray that even just one person might happen upon this article, and the spiritual cataracts will be mercifully cut from their clouded eyes!

THINK YOU THAT THE NARROW WAY IS WIDER THAN IT TRULY IS?

 "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate,

and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction,

and many there be which go in thereat:

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way,

which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

(Matthew 7:13-14)

Narrow is the way that leads to life, as Jesus Himself pointedly taught. We all know the expression so well, do we not? But... do we ever stop to really focus upon that word narrow, and consider exactly just HOW narrow the way is? Do we make any sort of measurement in our mind's eye? Do we take it to be something purely subjective, and accordingly to be only as "narrow" as we would personally and comfortably give a thumbs-up to, a stretchable breadth that we can soulishly pull wider than it truly is? MUCH wider, perhaps? And by means of such cavalier manipulation, do we render it - though only in the imagination! - hugely easier to walk than it really is? Friends, we can delude ourselves if we so wish to, but no amount of blissful self-deception can alter reality. Are we ready and willing to look reality in the eye, though? Make no mistake: our eternal destination depends on it!

I am much motivated to aver here, to anyone prepared to receive these words, that the narrow way that the Lord has set before us to follow is no wider than a tightrope, one strung between earth and heaven and above the yawning Abyss. It is the fixed strand of divine high-wire that is the holy Word of God, His ultra-thin line that we either in obedience wisely walk, or we in rebellious folly would pretend is not that narrow and its doctrines can be redefined at will! Could I humbly suggest that the prophesied great Falling Away from the Faith in the Last Days could perhaps be seen as the inevitable tragic outcome of a mass refusal to tread the tightrope before us, in all its actual and unalterable slenderness, with most choosing to plant their feet instead away from the wire on the mere nothingness of an illusory width? Falling, for them, is a foregone conclusion.

We hear much talk of revival, of a mighty End-Times harvest of souls, even bringing in the Kingdom by human effort. Such hype is the empty unScriptural chatter of those who are not on the narrow way, however loudly they might claim to be, but in apostate freefall. Did not Jesus declare that there would not be many, but FEW who find the way of life? Did He not also give us very great food for thought when He asked the loaded rhetorical question, "When the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?" (Luke 18:8). Somehow, I rather think that He's not expecting to see very many folks at all faithfully balancing on that scorned tightrope...

One last question to close with. Will you be one of that small number?

FROGS, FAST STICKY TONGUES... AND 'END-TIMES' DECEPTION!

 "And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, 

and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles,

which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world,

to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty."

'Frogs, fast sticky tongues... and End-Times deception!' An unlikely, indeed a quite bizarre title for a blogpost, yeah? Allow me to put some meat on these bare bones...

To anyone who has somehow continued to use the brain that God has given them, it will be all too apparent that free speech has become a thing of the past, and only the mindless unquestioning of - and the slavish adhering to, and compliance with - "the Official Narrative" is now permissible by "the-powers-that-be." We are in a society that still believes that it is a democracy, when the wholesale and determined crushing of independent thought as expressed in free speech - which is the very cornerstone of democracy! - proves it to be quite otherwise. While most folks have been soundly sleeping, and blindsided as to what has actually and irreversibly occurred, an infant dictatorship has been birthed... a demon child that will only grow and grow into full - and the most deeply malevolent - maturity!

Doubt that this is so? Laugh or sneer at the very suggestion? I hereby call to the witness box for testimony to the truth of the charge, the State's disallowance of any citizen to make up their own mind on the legitimacy of all things LGBTQ+ and - perish the thought! - give voice to their considered opinions on these matters. "Big Brother" decrees, and everyone must silently accept his edict! Even the sheer absurdity of a Governmental ruling (e.g. that two men or two women can be wed to each other, or one's gender can be decided not by the physical reality of genitalia but by personal desire and declaration) is to be no grounds for challenging it in any way whatsoever! Folly is upheld by the laws of the land, as are outright lies... for truth is no longer considered an objective absolute, but held to be a completely subjective, any-colour-you-want-it-to-be chameleon! Let no-one dare to declare as they watch the parade that the emperor has no clothes! 

But surely nowhere has the systematic State strangulation of free speech been more notably evidenced than in the whole Criminally Orchestrated, Vile, Insidious Deception-19 saga, and its relentless programme of propaganda to dupe the masses into reacting to an engineered "reality" (i.e. "the Official Narrative") and getting themselves injected with... well, who knows exactly what's in that witch's brew! With textbook Hegelian Dialectic cunning, the problem is created and then the solution (pun fully intended) is presented. And the world is changed forever. Yes, the "Global Elite" just love it when a plan comes together! And with them being the circus master of the mass media, and also the spider at the spin centre of the worldwide web, censorship became (as it remains) the order of the day. In democracy you have debate, but such has never once been allowed on the planned-emic. Only one story has been prescribed to be heard and acted upon, and anything running contrary to their careful stage-management of it all is to be purged with ruthless urgency at the crack of the circus master's whip.

OK. So what of frogs and fast sticky tongues? In Revelation 16:13, the demonic spirits emanating from the mouths of the cited "unholy trinity" are likened to frogs. But why frogs in particular? Why these bulgy-eyed little beasties, as opposed to any of the very many other creatures also deemed to be unclean, non-kosher in Hebraic law? I would like, if I may, to suggest a very good reason for this choice being a far from abstract one, with important meaning for us to uncover in these increasingly dark and dangerous and deception-ridden Last Days before the Son returns.

A frog has a most remarkable tongue. Its prey is seized when this far-reaching organ (a full third of its length and kept coiled up in its mouth rather like a serpent ready to strike) is shot out to capture an insect and then pulled back inside its mouth at a truly staggering speed. Just how fast? Well, all within 0.07 seconds, which is no less than five times faster than our human eyes can blink! The extremely pliable soft tongue instantly wraps itself around the insect, which is adhered to it by an extremely high-grip saliva, the "super-glue" of the animal world if you will. Once caught, there's no escape. The clinical efficiency with which the entire procedure is executed is just astonishing, but in it all we find a distinct parallel in the way that the "Global Elite's" well-oiled and silk-smooth propaganda machine operates... as perfected by Josef Goebbels in Nazi Germany, which was the blueprint and test-bed for the eventual implementation of the New World Order.

"Information, ideas, opinions, or images, often only giving one part of an argument, that are broadcast, published, or in some other way spread with the intention of influencing people's opinions" - the Cambridge Dictionary's definition of propaganda.

So, let's return at this point to the planned-emic. The public is hit with a message, one that is demanding of immediate attention and one quite properly defined as propaganda, shot out if you will with quite amazing speed. That message hits its target, completely wrapping itself around it (with every media outlet continually belting out the exact same chorus). The sticking power of the propaganda is great indeed; the hapless prey finds itself unable to resist, and is pulled in pronto... to the nearest human-fly-spattered Vaccination Centre!

Only human beings and angels, be they faithful or fallen ones, have of all living things been endowed by their Creator with the power of speech, to communicate for good or for ill by means of language... or tongue if you will. As is written and warned about this in the Word, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." (Proverbs 18:21). And that slick, sticky tongue has from the very beginning been mightily used by the Enemy of our souls to entice and trap mankind into doing his evil bidding.

The demonic spirit of seduction unto destruction, encountered first by Eve way back in Eden, was the self-same spirit manifesting itself globally in the only allowed voices of the planned-emic. As indeed it will be the very same spirit going forth to summon the kings of the Earth and their armies to Armageddon. "There is no new thing under the sun," the Preacher tells us in Ecclesiastes 1:9, "the thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done." My friends, as it was at the first, so it will be at the last... as it has also been at key points propped up between the bookends of time. We must needs discern this deadliest of spirits for what it is, see with crystal clarity exactly what is afoot, and pray with all passion and trust - as did David before us - unto the One who is both the Author and the Finisher of our Faith:

"Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips,

and from a deceitful tongue."

(Psalm 120:2)

AS ONE YEAR GIVES WAY TO ANOTHER...

This post is dedicated to all friends present and all friends past, to those who've come and remain alongside me and to those who called it a day and went their way, some in silence and some with noise. Pain there has been, and plenty, and pronounced are the scars that 2022 has left upon my person; but at one year's passing and a new year's taking of its place, I extend grace and peace and my warmest wishes to one and all in 2023, and regardless of whether you have determined to be for or against me and the things I have written here in these columns. 

Ultimately, as with us all, I am answerable to God for how I have conducted myself in His service. In my compilation and publication of the articles themselves, and in what manner I have interacted with all my correspondents, and perhaps especially with those who are somewhat less than agreed with my personal stance on some issue or other, I have confidence that whatever the opinion of my fellows, in the final reckoning it is He who will be my just Judge when I come to stand before Him. As the Word avers, "yea, let God be true, but every man a liar." (Romans 3:4).

We must every one of us endeavour to move forward in our Faith, and should eagerly encourage each other to do so, forgiving unreservedly all trespasses against us as the Word so teaches. Who is the one who operates in all sinless perfection? Who has no dross to be burned off? Do we not all bear much worldly residue, if we'd only but admit it? We are to be refined as silver is refined; such is the fiery nature of our sanctification in Christ our Lord! For all our assumed righteousnesses - and that means ALL bar none - are as filthy rags! (Isaiah 64:6).

There is no good inherent in any flesh, anywhere, and how easily and conveniently do we forget that the new birth is of the spirit only this side of glory, and the flesh remains in corruption. What do we have to boast of? Assuredly nought of ourselves, only of Him crucified, buried, resurrected and ascended, and coming again to reign in glory! If we in any way elevate the self, which thing is pride, we are fallen into folly. For what are we compared to the Almighty? As is also so pointedly written in Isaiah (55:8-9), "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." We are to diminish, that in our willing self-lessening He increases unto all rightful pre-eminence!

Many years ago, Alfred Lord Tennyson penned a New Year poem of huge optimism, drawing in the turning of the year he was witnessing an analogy to the coming of Christ and the establishment of His Millennial Kingdom on earth. Centre (pastor) monkey: 

"Don't you go telling me I've opened the door of MY church to deception! Not listening!"

Right monkey: 

"Yeah, I see deception in MY church, but no way am I gonna open MY mouth about it!"

ARE YOU A WISE (IN YOUR OWN EYES) MONKEY?

DO YOU NEED TO OPEN YOUR EYES, YOUR EARS, YOUR MOUTH?

DON'T BE HONEST WITH ME... BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF...

AND MORE IMPORTANTLY STILL, WITH GOD!
