THE CIRCUS COMES TO TOWN! - BENNY HINN AT KING'S CHURCH, NEWPORT, 25TH/26TH AUGUST, 2013.

IMPORTANT UP-DATES, 12/11/14 & 18/11/14

This article has been amended to comply with an email received from Mr. Ray Bevan this evening, and I have no problem in apologizing to readers of the article as it originally appeared in which it was stated that Mr. Bevan had divorced his first wife when as I am now informed it was she who had divorced him. Mr. Bevan's contact and my reply are reproduced below, in the interests of transparency.

This is my reply to him:

Hard on the heels of what might be billed 'The Biggest Show in Town' aka 'The Welsh Outpouring' at Victory Church in Cwmbran, comes one of the biggest acts on the pseudo-Christian stage today!  Mr. Benny Hinn, Charlatan Extraordinaire, will be appearing live at King's Church in Newport, this very weekend!

Any genuine believer in the REAL Gospel, and the TRUE Person of the Lord Jesus Christ, should be hugely concerned by this development. Bringing this ghastly individual to Wales is VERY bad news indeed for Wales, and further brings Christianity in this land into disrepute. Ray Bevan and King's Church are doing Newport a colossal disservice by giving a platform to this man who persistently mars the Name of Jesus - and makes the Faith a mockery - with his fakery and false prophecies and grotesque antics.

With this exceedingly unfortunate event, the Enemy's infiltration of Welsh Christianity continues apace. With the willing assistance of undiscerning Pastors like Robert King (Two Locks Church, Cwmbran), Richard Taylor of Victory Church and Ray Bevan of King's in Newport, we have seen the arrival and "ministering" of big-name false teachers like Todd Bentley, Tommy Tenney, Lou Engle and now Benny Hinn!

Make no mistake. Wales is under attack. Major attack! And we are called to stand. Firmly upon the Rock of our salvation! We are NOT to tolerate, and indeed we are to shun, the promoters and proponents of "another Jesus... another spirit... another gospel!" (Second Corinthians 11:4). There are, sadly, in these Last Days, many who come in the name of Jesus, claiming to do great things in His Name. But in the Judgement, the Lord will say "I never knew you!" (Matthew 7:23). Not "I knew you once, but I don't know you now." The pronouncement will be, "I NEVER knew you!" Sobering thought, huh? Such men will have freely used the Name of Jesus. TO DECEIVE!!!

Please, please, do your homework. Do some research. Above all, read and digest the Bible, and hold to sound doctrine. An emotionally-based faith can make one open to all manner of deception; after all, "the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9). But a Word-based faith is founded upon the ultimate Wisdom that endures for all time. It is not for nothing that John declared of the Second Person of the Trinity, "The WORD was made flesh..." (John 1:14).

This is a time when nothing should be taken at face value. Just because a (supposed) great 'man of God' uses Jesus' Name does not necessarily mean that he knows the True Jesus, or that the True Jesus knows him!

"Be ye therefore wise as serpents,
and harmless as doves."

(Matthew 10:16)
