As news begins to filter through that Richard Taylor of Victory Church in Cwmbran, scene of the sham 2013 "Welsh Outpouring" is finally having to face the music, I am throwing down the gauntlet to all the Christian leaders of Wales who have utterly failed to stand up and be counted in the struggle to contend for the pure and uncompromising Gospel of Jesus Christ against the tsunami of apostasy, error and deception that is hitting this land, of which Victory is just one surge.
The evangelical Christian leaders of Wales have been so, so conspicuous by their cowardice, complacency and comfortable co-existence with compromise. Shame on you, for your abysmal and disgraceful silence, a silence that speaks so loudly of your utter failure to protect the flock from the pack of hungry circling wolves! You've left it to private, lay individuals to do that which you would not!
I personally find it so bitterly ironic that in Richard Taylor's case, it would seem that his departure will have been precipitated by a "moral indiscretion" on his part, and not because of him being made to answer any of the very many and pertinent questions that have been asked here and elsewhere about him and his Victory operation. Victory's leadership has persistently refused to answer or act upon the wealth of legitimate concerns that have been flagged up since the so-called "Outpouring" exploded into the public consciousness. It would seem to have needed a sordid sexual scandal to have galvanized the leadership into action, presumably because this time they had no choice, and are worried about how their own "good" selves might be adversely affected by their chief's fall from the pedestal on which they had been at such pains to place him!
The last gauntlet I threw down on this blog was specifically to the leaders of Victory Church, which (unsurprisingly!) not a single one responded to. Now I challenge ALL leaders of ALL Welsh churches!
