"Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.
But they said, We will not walk therein.
Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.
Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them.
Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it."
(Jeremiah 6:16-19)

This concerned my sadly unsuccessful attempts to engage with Alex Ashton, the pastor of The Vine Christian Centre in Bridgend, South Wales. I had twice emailed him in November 2015, to bring to his attention a comprehensive collection of Kenneth Copeland quotes which proved conclusively that this man's "Jesus" is most definitely NOT the Jesus as revealed in the Scriptures, but rather "another Jesus" with "another gospel."
Mr. Ashton has regrettably demonstrated neither the grace nor the integrity to respond in any way to my correspondence. (Just for the record, my emails definitely reached their destination, as a 'Mail Failure' notice is always generated if they do not get through for any reason, and this has not occurred).
The crux of the matter is this: Mr. Ashton is a very willing and active partner of the great Word of Faith/Prosperity gospel heretic Kenneth Copeland, taking a lead role in his UK/European operation as noted in my earlier article. Even after having the incredible extent of Copeland's false teachings and blasphemies pointed out to him, Mr. Ashton has recklessly and wilfully continued with this most unrighteous yoking.
Sadly, I find a need to write once more concerning the grievous Ashton-Copeland collusion, as it has now come to my attention that - at the instigation of the pastor himself - The Vine Christian Centre will be hosting a special "Healing Celebration" over the two days of 6th. and 7th. March, 2016 with George and Terri Pearsons:
I am coming to Wales by invitation of Pastor Alex Ashton. He has been watching us and was deeply moved by what the Lord said to me about God wanting His Church back. Pastor Alex wants me to come and share what the Lord has done in our church and how this outpouring will sweep across Europe. Pastor Terri, our associate Dr. Gene Bailey and I will minister this Outpouring to leaders and pastors in the Word, as well as allow the Holy Spirit to demonstrate His presence—especially in
healing and miracles. I invite you to be come be a part of these meetings.
God wants His Church back. The time has come for us to lead the charge and fulfill what He has in His heart.
For the Outpouring,
Pastor George Pearsons
With breathtaking irony, Pearsons proclaims that Jesus told him that He wants His Church back! By which is meant that it must receive an enormous infection - sorry, injection - of "Signs and Wonders!" I am personally absolutely convinced that the Lord does indeed want His Church back! Back, that is, out of the deluded, Laodicean clutches of the likes of Kenneth Copeland Ministries!
In his insistence on continuing to couple with this outrageously aberrant outfit, Alex Ashton seriously endangers not just his own relationship with the Lord, but that of his congregation and indeed anyone else who might be misguided enough to attend this event, which is worryingly particularly aimed at pastors and church leaders. Wales has already had one false "Outpouring" recently, at Victory Church in Cwmbran, and certainly does not need another one... this time at the apostasy-imparting hands of the Copeland dynasty!
"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:
because many false prophets are gone out into the world."
(1 John 4:1)
"Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?
and in thy name have cast out devils?
and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:
depart from me, ye that work iniquity."
(Matthew 7:22-23)
