"Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding;
which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:
Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence,
which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree,
that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves,
yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?
But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone."
(Jeremiah 5: 21-23)
'Twenty-one
Is nearly done:
What of the year to be?
Will our eyes
To Heaven rise?
Will we be blind? Or see?
As one who was called years ago, for reasons best known to the Lord, to watch on the walls and give due warning to His people of real and present danger, I confess to right now feeling pretty much stymied, for want of a better word. It simply seems to me that we've reached the point where everyone's mind is now quite made up; they have made their decisions, for better or for worse - mainly worse, sad to say! - in respect of what they are going to be accepting of and also dismissive of. Most will accept the soul-destroying Satanic deceptions of the great spiritual apostasia, just as they will accept the similarly soul-destroying physical Satanic deceptions of Covid-19 and the "vaccine" rollout that the virus was created for in the first place. They will diss and dismiss any warnings about either; wisdom is exiled, and folly is installed in its stead. Just as we were told they would be, men have been turned to fables. As the Word declares as quoted above, they have revolted and are gone.
While society at large disintegrates at a speed astonishing to behold, and our Enemy's grip on this chaotic world gets tighter by the day, as evil thrives and exponentially and unchecked multiplies, just where is the Church - or at least what calls itself the Church? Apart from a tiny Remnant torn from the roll of otherwise contaminated cloth, it's either compliant or cowering! Truth is fallen in the street, and fabrication has been raised up and exalted in its place. It is again today as it was in Isaiah's day, when he declared in the Spirit:
"Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book,
that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:
That this is a rebellious people, lying children,
children that will not hear the law of the Lord:
Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets,
Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things,
prophesy deceits: Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path,
cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us."
(Isaiah 30:8-11)
As global totalitarianism arises like Leviathan the coiling serpent from the deep, where are the shepherds warning their flock of what is to come? Is there any preparing for the persecution that will inevitably come upon the faithful? The awful thing is, of course, that so very many pastors are not genuine shepherds at all, merely hirelings who are in a job, not a vocation of the Spirit. They are "career Christians," deliverers of "smooth things," far too concerned with earthy considerations like their salary, or their pension, or their accommodation, or their "good" standing in the community, to rock the boat and say it as it really is... if of course they actually have any comprehension of how things really are! And a multitude of itching ears in Truth-ditching pews desire only to be tickled, and tickled they most certainly are! The last thing they want to hear is that normality as they once knew it will never return, that Antichrist is coming at breakneck speed, and so too is his mark of which the Covid vax+passport is its direct precursor. So they hear none of the things they need to, only that which they want to.
Droves of fickle folks who would claim themselves to be Bible-believing Christians are oblivious to what is afoot and unashamedly going along with it all. It is a sad, sad symptom of the great apostasia; the Church is not standing apart from the world, for it is now at one with the world and has chosen the temporal over the eternal. And in becoming the friend of the world, it has made itself the enemy of God. (James 4:4). A sobering thought indeed!
I look at the grim situation in Austria which is mandating the vax, with Germany likely to follow hard on her heels. Now, on the face of it you'd think that these two countries which were the seat of Nazism might have learned a thing or two about tyranny, but in so obviously not having learned from history they are doomed to repeat it as the old saying goes. But then, I've personally long considered the Third Reich to have been the blueprint and testbed for the eventual implementation of the New World Order. As I wrote back in July, Joseph Goebbels' methods of propaganda are seen to be massively at work in this whole Covid+vax situation which has been precision engineered to condition and control the masses. The arrival of a new Fuhrer, being the man of sin, the son of perdition (2 Thess. 2:3) is imminent. But where the fear of the Lord is absent, as it is on all fronts, so too is knowledge and recognition and ownership of reality. Illusion rules.
With what I might call the institutional Church laying itself down and dying to Truth and even basic common sense, with Covid being the final nail in its coffin before interment in its whitewashed tomb, what of those who decline to be duped? On a sheet of paper, the margin is where holes are punched through. Just as we who are members of the Body of Christ but have become margin-alised through resisting the apostasy and/or the vax, have been similarly pierced through... with many sorrows! When we are square pegs, and only round holes are on offer, what do we do? And just where do we go? We are effectively the new lepers of society, reviled, feared and ostracized by professing "Christian" and heathen alike. As it is written, the love of many will wax cold; in this incredibly testing time we face it will doubtless become increasingly apparent that the light that some would claim to have in them is actually darkness. (Luke 11:35).
I allow these words to spill out onto the page, not out of a sense of hopelessness as it might seem, but rather out of a desire to encourage the Remnant to keep going and to hold fast to their commitment to Christ regardless of all opposition, in the safe and sure knowledge that our redemption draws ever nearer. We know that the night is at its darkest before the dawn breaks, and what must be must be; God is on His Throne and completely in control, and everything is happening according to His perfect plan. All was prophesied in His unalterable Word, and all will be fulfilled down to the minutest detail. Yes, we face mighty challenges, but we do not face them alone but in the strength of the Lord to whom we cling. The battle may be hard, but the victory has already been won, something that we should never lose sight of!
Yes, Satan has his human agents who - sometimes knowingly, sometimes unknowingly - he deploys to do his dastardly work. But it is so very important for us always to remember that the war is "not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Ephesians 6:12). This being so, what is our response to be when we are on the receiving end of fleshly ostracization and abuse and even naked hatred from our fellows for our stand in faith? Do we respond in like manner? Absolutely not, for our Scriptural instruction is crystal clear:
"Recompense to no man evil for evil."
(Romans 12:17)
And as the Apostle Paul emphasised:
"Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves,
but rather give place unto wrath:
for it is written, Vengeance is mine;
I will repay, saith the Lord."
Furthermore, as our Saviour Himself taught concerning such things as we must with great patience endure:
"Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you,
and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven:
for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you."
(Matthew 5:10-12)
Frankly, we do not know how much longer we might be able to easily make connection with each other; access to the internet or mobile networks etc. could without notice be withdrawn at any time, individually or collectively. So in closing, I want to make a suggestion to those who comprise the homeless Remnant who are left out in the cold. Friends, if you know of someone, or perchance you come into contact with someone who is like minded and themselves something of a social pariah out on a very lonely limb, consider linking up with them. Perhaps a home get-together, or over a coffee in a local cafe (while such things are still permissible!) for we all need fellowship and suffer without it. You might start with just one or two, but it could in the grace of God grow into a whole new leper colony, so to speak. Numbers are unimportant, though, for as Jesus promised:
"For where two or three are gathered together in my name,
there am I in the midst of them."
(Matthew 18:20)
