TOMMY TENNEY AT VICTORY CHURCH, CWMBRAN, 17/9/14

One of my greatest concerns about this Cwmbran "outpouring" is that the Pastor - Richard Taylor - has as his mentor Tommy Tenney, who is intimately connected with the Brownsville, "Pensacola Outpouring." Tommy Tenney is undoubtedly a false teacher, who wrote the best-seller "The God-Chasers" which basically teaches that the Bible is a mouldy collection of old love letters; Scripture is where God has BEEN, and Christians need to chase after where God is NOW! The Bible is PAST TRUTH; REVELATION is where God is NOW. This in itself should be screaming out a warning that Tommy Tenney is in grave error, and a heretic to be avoided at all costs! Yet the Pastor of a Church proclaiming a new "outpouring" is profoundly influenced by this man, who was himself intimately connected with the previous FALSE "outpouring" at Brownsville.

Consider. Was not the Word made flesh, in the Person of Jesus Christ (John 1:14)? Scripture and the Lord Himself are that inseparable! How dare any man pour such scorn on the Word?

Richard Taylor has, of course, now departed from Victory in disgrace, but the church he founded has continued to drink an intoxicating cocktail of deception without question or pause! This is clearly evidenced by their having Tommy Tenney back again, making a lie of the church's claim to have a love for Scripture! If they really loved the Word of God, they wouldn't have a man like Tenney within a million miles of the place, never mind occupying the pulpit!
ANYONE WHO TEACHES THAT GOD HAS MOVED ON FROM HIS WRITTEN WORD IS OPERATING IN THE SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST.

Victory Church has lost its front man, the face of the "Outpouring" and it's in trouble. But rather than taking a hard and honest look at itself, it's chosen to remain in denial, holding that all its many wrong moves were right ones! Its blind shepherds have learned nothing; their blindfolds remain firmly in place. Follow them and their guest "God chaser" and it is only a painful dive into the ditch that awaits you!

Mr. Malcolm Jones is recklessly exposing both his flock and unwitting visitors to this tickler of itching ears, whose flagrantly false teaching is a direct contradiction of what is placed at the very top of his church's declaration of their Christian values:

This will be Mr. Tenney's third visit to the Cwmbran Campus, his first being on 10th. February, 2013 - very ominously, only a few short weeks before the "Outpouring" broke out - and his second being on 28th. August, 2013. Two days later, the Brownsville bogus revival's Scripture-denigrating deceiver is to be found at Brecon Elim Church, which is pastored by husband-and-wife team Malcolm and Evelyn Jones. Of this event, Mr. Jones enthuses:
"We are very pleased to announce that Tommy Tenney will be joining us as part of his Godchasers speaking tour on Friday 19th. September 2014 at 7.30pm. As many of you will know, Tommy is a fantastic speaker and we are privileged and very excited to host an evening with him at Brecon Elim Church. We hope you can join us for the evening, and why not bring a family member, friend or colleague to hear Tommy speak."

Privileged? Excited? To host a man intent on preaching "another gospel?" How is there such an incredible lack of wisdom and discernment in a Pentecostal assembly?

Tommy Tenney long ago dismissed the authority of Holy Writ, teaching that God has moved on from it to other things, essentially "revelation." His Word is where he WAS, but we must now "chase after" where he is NOW! Just how anyone can seriously think they can chase after the OMNIPRESENT GOD, as if He were like a mere man on the run with us in breathless pursuit of him, just defies belief! He already INDWELLS the true believer, through the Person of the Holy Spirit! You can find God right now, right where you are, without moving a muscle!

He offers a poisoned chalice to drink from, and I would urge anyone tempted to go along to this event to avoid it like the plague! And as for inviting others to attend - as the Pastor so misguidedly suggests - please shield them by keeping them well away from this man who demeans the God of the Universe and His Holy Word, the most vital Book on the planet!

'CALEB ADVANCE 2014,' BRECON ELIM, 20/9/14
Before closing, I feel it needful to also warn about another extremely questionable event which is being held at Brecon Elim Church the very next day, i.e. Saturday 20th. September. The premises will be the venue for Caleb Advance 2014, the annual great get-together of the Mountain Ash-based Caleb Ministries.
In a nutshell, this organization runs church leadership courses to "empower" the Body. It is firmly rooted in Latter Rain theology, and propagates a Restorationist/New Apostolic Reformation ideology which has a totally unbiblical worldview and eschatology! In perfect keeping with this 'Kingdom Now' mindset, the keynote speaker of Caleb Advance 2014 will be Julian Richards of Cornerstone Church in Swansea. Mr. Richards is the leader of New Wine Cymru which I have repeatedly warned against on this blog for its lead role in promoting the Signs and Wonders, Toronto Curse here in Wales, and other grievous End-Times delusions like 'Treasure-Hunting.'
